TLC Wood Stoves and Chimney Liners - Your Chimney Lining Specialist!
Welcome to TLC Stoves and Chimney Liners! My name is Terry Liam Collins (TLC) and I operate a premier wood stove and chimney lining service throughout Kent and Sussex. For more than a decade, I've kept householders satisfied by fitting a variety of wood burning stoves and reinstalling all types of open fires. The areas I cover include Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells, Sevenoaks, Crowborough, Hadlow, Pembury, Paddock Wood, Maidstone, Hove, Brighton and Eastbourne.
Services offered by TLC Stoves and Liners
We supply and fit woodburning and multi fuel stoves as well as offer a free site survey.
We have supplied and fitted hundreds of woodburning stoves across Kent and Sussex including Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells, Sevenoaks, Eastbourne, Brighton and Hove. TLC can supply and fit Esse, Clearview, Scan, Jotul, Charnwood, Chilli Penguin, Aarrow stoves and more, so please get in touch with us to book your free site survey.
We can relocate an existing stove to another part of your home.
If you have just bought a house with a multi fuel stove and need the appliance moved to another part of your home, we can carry out this service for you. We have noticed a trend throughout Kent and Sussex in recent years of homeowners wanting one room warm whilst keeping their central heating to a minimum cost.
No chimney no problem
If your property does not have an existing chimney, we can create one using a twin walled flue system. The twin wall we use is top quality and will last for many years. It does take longer to fit but we can discuss this further when you book your free site survey.
We can supply and fit open fires and fire surrounds
We can supply and fit all types of open fires including Jetmaster open fires. TLC can get any fireplace surround made to your requirement; formed out of your requested material, such as granite, limestone and marble. We can also lay a contrasting hearth of your chosen material but always recommend a darker hearth such as natural slate as this is more durable over time.
We can supply and fit chimney pots, chimney cowls and offer a chimney stack repointing service
We replace many chimney pots that have either cracked or are in a state of disrepair for householders throughout Kent and Sussex. We can also source and fit reclaimed chimney pots to period properties - a specialised service. We offer a chimney cowl fitting service and can supply and fit every cowl currently available on the market. We also repoint chimneys helping to keep water from penetrating through the chimney stack, which prevents water damage. More information ...
Expertise from a fully qualified HETAS chimney lining specialist
TLC Stoves & Liners has lined hundreds of chimneys over the years. It's that high level of professional experience which helps, whenever we are presented with a unique chimney issue. Our training and knowledge means that we'll find a solution. TLC Stoves & Liners is HETAS trained and experienced. For more information on HETAS, please click here.
So what's all the fuss about?
Lining a chimney flue properly is strongly recommended by HETAS and major stove manufacturers ? for your safety, if nothing else. It is particularly important for older properties using all types of solid fuel appliances. Lined chimneys are also safer for fire use compared to flues with standard masonry. The liner makes the best use of the fire as a heating source, it is also more efficient in the long-run and helps prevent a damaging build-up of condensation.
Competent Person Registration Scheme - HETAS
The installation, replacement or any alteration to the position of a solid fuel combustion appliance (wood burning stove) is subject by law to building regulations. Competent person schemes were introduced by the Government in 2002 to allow individuals to self-certify that their work complies with these regulations; as an efficient alternative to notifying the local authority or using an approved inspector. I am part of such a scheme - see below - which gives customers reassurance that my work is legally compliant.
HETAS is the official body recognised by the Government to approve solid fuel domestic heating appliances, fuels and services including the registration of competent installers and servicing businesses. To achieve this objective, HETAS operates a registration scheme that supports installers and businesses involved in this area to work safely, efficiently and within the various regulations which apply to the work involved.
TLC Liners and Stoves is HETAS registered and, after commissioning your wood burning stove, a certificate will be issued.

I have been using my Arrow stove for a month now and I find myself staring at it in the evenings! Our house is warmer and the stove is now the focus point of our front room. Thanks TLC for a great installation. Great job! Simon, Pembury, Kent
I found TLC on-line and asked them for a quote to install two Scan wood burning stoves in our two storey house. They were prompt to answer and came over to discuss our options. It is clear they are very passionate and knowledgeable about their trade. The installations were mess-free and done in a timely manner. We are very pleased with their work and would not hesitate to recommend their services. Linda & Gareth, Tonbridge, Kent
I recently had a Morso log burner installed by TLC. I found Terry very professional and helpful; he kept me informed of everything that would happen when he came over for a survey. The installation is neat; he left my house clean and tidy. I certainly look forward to using my log burner for the years to come - as well as save a few pounds on my gas bills. Chris, Crowborough, East Sussex
