Brenchley village is also a civil parish within Tunbridge Wells in the county of Kent. The parish is only three miles from Paddock Wood, and it includes Matfield village as well. Brenchley was closely involved with the iron making industry. There is still a furnace site situated in nearby Horsmonden. Brenchley Parish Church, dedicated to All Saints, is known for a long line of yew trees which lead up to the building. 

Competent Person Registration Scheme - HETAS

The installation, replacement or any alteration to the position of a solid fuel combustion appliance (wood burning stove) is subject by law to building regulations. Competent person schemes were introduced by the Government in 2002 to allow individuals to self-certify that their work complies with these regulations; as an efficient alternative to notifying the local authority or using an approved inspector. I am part of such a scheme - see below - which gives customers reassurance that my work is legally compliant.

HETAS is the official body recognised by the Government to approve solid fuel domestic heating appliances, fuels and services including the registration of competent installers and servicing businesses. To achieve this objective, HETAS operates a registration scheme that supports installers and businesses involved in this area to work safely, efficiently and within the various regulations which apply to the work involved.

TLC Liners and Stoves is HETAS registered and, after commissioning your wood burning stove, a certificate will be issued.
